"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." Gordon B. Hinckley

Olivia's 9th Birthday

Just when all the party and wrapping is done...Liv's Birthday comes!!  We went and watched The Tale of Despero and had her favorite dinner of Ham, my rolls, strawberry jello, and yams.

Here is the famous Banana Cake with pink frosting.  It takes about an hour to assemble and thanks to Eric's persuasion  it is becoming every ones favorite cake.

Christmas 2008

Christmas was very fun this year. I am a little mad at myself for not taking very many pictures because Eric was filming it.  I need to find out how to take clips of film and make them into pictures to post.
Kayla loved her coupe and drove "Happy Feet" all over the place.

The Ripstix sensation has hit the Wade house.  The kids ride them around and around the floors and have races.  Our Walls have a few dents in them.

Jesse "trying" to be cool.
This was the big family gift this year...the foot massager.  Heaven!!!
For breakfast once a year on Christmas Day I make Banana Macadamia Nut pancakes with coconut syrup and maple whipping cream.  Inspired by the Gazebo in Maui.  Yum can't wait for them next year!
To i-pod or not to i-pod.  They have actually turned into be a great investment.  The kids will listen or watch movies and bother each other less.  Poor Josh's did not work along with his wall car and night vision goggles.  Poor kid!

This year I decided that I was not going to do the whole turkey thing so I told everyone that we were going out to eat. We loaded up the car and drove around Layton for about 30 minutes trying to find someone open.  Well all we found was a sushi place which cracked me up because I always wondered why on The Christmas Story they had them at a Chinese restaurant at the end and I now why know because they are the only ones opened.  We headed into Salt Lake and ended up at the Little America Brunch which was great.

Christmas Eve 2008

This year for Christmas Eve we tried something different.  We went to the Road home and donated things and made about 40 plates of cookies.  Then we went to Heirs Big H and ate then went to temple square and walked through the visitor center and watched a few movies.  Our friends Seth and Andrea and their kids Conner, Ali, Ethan, and Tessa came with us.  I think this is our new tradition for Christmas Eve.

This is the Geisler Family, Seth, Andrea, Conner, Allie, Ethan and Tessa, and no Andrea is not my twin..

Poor Muffin Doll!!  We got a lot of snow so Eric went and bought 2 inter tubes and put them on the back of the 4 wheeler.  As he had all of the kids on them pulling out it looked like a disaster waiting to happen. I told him to be careful...well not 5 minutes passed and Jesse came in the house crying that his arm was broke and then Ellie came in and her face looked like this!  They turned a corner going a little to fast.. (ERIC!!) and flew off the tubes.  We put some ice on it and Jesse's arm thankfully was not broke.
The night before Christmas and we all got new pj's!  Thank goodness because last years were getting to small for some of the kids..and me!!  New Years resolution lose 10 lbs!!

This is Margie and her daughter Turalee.  They are in our ward and we love them.  We go and visit them a lot.  They are so good to us.  Margie is an amazing painter and gave us a beautiful picture.  The kids will go and sit by them all the time in sacrament meeting.

Let it snow

Eric took the kids out and the neighborhood kids joined in and made "Frosty".  Frosty should have a frown on his face though because of the terrible BYU bowl performance!

Josh's 7th Birthday

Happy Birthday Josh!! #7! He got up about 7:00 and got all dressed for school so he could open his presents before. He is dressed up because he had a school program that day. We went to Chucky Cheese where he was not happy at first. He went to a party there a few months ago so he wanted to go there for his birthday. Well we show up and there are no balloons or banners or extra 100 tokens for him because I didn't call and request a Birthday Party. Eric bought some extra tokens and all was well again. Back home for his cake where he requested a chocolate cake with mint ice cream on top. I have never made one of those but it must have been good because my kids ate it all. Curly Head is getting older.

Wade Christmas Party

Tara and I thought it would fun to have all the nieces and nephews that are in Utah come to our home for a Christmas party.  So Tara and Dave and their 3 kids Amy, John, and Michael came, and Doug and his wife Shawna who is 5 months pregnant, Megan, Travis and his girlfriend Melissa, and James, Ben, Jacob, Matt and Scott all came.  We had such a great time.  We appreciated the 5 boys in the back dressing up for this special occasion.  We played the white elephant game and the Macadamia Nut box from Hawaii and the high five hand were highly sought after.  The Elmer's glue, you, and perfume spray that made everyone cough and evacuate were traded as soon as possible.    Thanks for coming everyone it was a fun time!

Gangster Kayla

Jesse has taught Kayla a new thing to do- we call it the Gang-ster pose.  When you ask her to smile this is what happens.

Love this outfit.  She's wearing a spiderman suit, with her coat and accented with a crown and a magic wand which she is trying to do gangster pose with.

Thanksgiving Bball Tournament

During Thanksgiving we went up to Idaho and Eric took his team the "Kaysville Heat" to the annual Thanksgiving basketball tournament in Idaho Falls.  We played Twin Falls, Pocatello, Skyline, and then ended up playing Twin Falls in the championship game and we won.  Jesse had some great games. What a fun thing to do over Thanksgiving.  We played in it last year also.  It is so fun to watch this team.  They have been together for 4 years and Eric has coached Jesse now for 6 years.  I love it!!

Family Pictures

We went to Guardsman Pass which is in between Park City and
Midway and took these pictures.  It was so beautiful.  The fall colors this year were incredible.
We were taking our own photos and every time the timer would start beeping Kayla would turn around and look at it.

The elk hunt

Ok this photo is for Eric.  See Eric this blog is a good thing.  You can show off your elk here since it will not be hanging in our home!!  Eric "caught" this up in the hills by Manti Utah.  He shot it the first day which I was so happy because he could come home early.
It scored a 300.  Can't wait to hang it in the garage!

Ok family and friends here it is... My family blog!!  After feeling guilty for so long I have come to the realization that since I don't scrapbook this will be my scrapbook for my family.  So hopfully I will be able to just click and print these pages and someday stick them in an album.  Just know as you read that I know I cannot spell like Eric (remember he took 6th in the national spelling bee) and I am illiterate.  So just look at the photos and know that yes I am a dummy with words.  So here it goes....
